Pope Francis launched an app, Click To Pray, that lets people know what he is praying for, such as natural disaster casualties or other conflicts, and encourages those to join him. You can view his profile and click an icon to pray with him.
Despite his past unfamiliarity with technology, Pope Francis launched the new app on Sunday during his weekly noontime public player. The app is available in six languages, on both Android and iOS devices, and was launched in preparation of World Youth Day.
He addressed the crowd in St. Peter’s Square saying, “Internet and social media are a resource of our time – an opportunity to stay in touch with others, to share values and projects, and to express the desire to make a community. The network can also help us to pray in community, to pray together.”
