First, Tesla announced it will close most stores and sell cars online-only. Now, the automaker released a statement explaining it will “only close about half as many stores”, reduce staff in certain locations, and raise vehicle prices “by about 3% on average worldwide.”
The price hike will apply to “more expensive variants of Model 3, as well as the Model S and Model X.” The lowest priced EV, Model 3 at $35,000, will not increase.
The new prices will go into effect in about a week, so if you’ve been thinking of getting a Tesla, now may be the time.
