Snapchat will launch a gaming platform as soon as next month.
This isn’t a surprise:
- Snapchat’s parent company, Snap, acquired Australian gaming studio, Prettygreat (creators of “Fruit Ninja”), last year for $8.6 million.
- Snapchat rolled out its AR games feature, Snappables, allowing users to play games while taking selfies.
The gaming platform, coined “Project Cognac”, will be unveiled at an LA summit for content creators and developers on April 4.
