First-Ever Photo Of A Black Hole To Release Next Week

Next Wednesday, scientists will unveil humanity’s first-ever photo of a supermassive black hole, “Sagittarius A”, located at the center of the Milky Way. Say whaaaat.

Black holes are collapsed stars, with gravity so strong that light can’t escape. We will likely see the capture of an “event horizon”, the edge of the black hole – basically a dark blob surrounded by bright light.
